I like the transition from build up to melody . Although you should use different beat for main melody so it doesn't feel like part of build up .

Basically you have 2 build ups but no middle if that makes sense . You could add another pattern .

Some of the VSt choices hurt this song . Its important that lead and background complement each other . Timing on phasers needs to be more accurate.

East West orchestra man i wish i had that VST . Sounds very high quality

Song itself sounds a little crispy on edges but i think its ok because it gives a bit of dark flavor .

I can't think of anything negative to say . It has a very nice suspense and i like consistent ups and downs .

i like solo guitar music

you ever listen to music by sunlonger?

Transition could be a little better but raw creativity by itself is good too

Thanks for the review! i havent heard anything by sunlonger but i will be sure to check them out. i will try and work on my transitions for future projects, i tend to try and fit things together rather than listening to the music.

did you play the lead on piano? It sounds like both digital and classic

The mood and atmosphere is very relaxing . I don't like the choir ahs at the end but overall pretty enjoyable

AyzanNightbane responds:

Actually, I composed all melodic lines in fl studio 10. The lead melodic line is actually an exotic harp. Just played it in high pitch. About the Aahs, yep, I think you're definitely right about that. I added those though because I wanted the other harmonic lines to sound clearly. originally, I intended to go those lines with lyrical strings but that didn't go so well.

well the best part of this melody is the part that you didn't make . Simba sim simbato simbato lucimo simba sim

sounds is a bit all over the place . Try to use less instruments or make sure that they complement each other .

etK responds:

Thanks for the review.

very suspenseful .

If it was in slightly better quality i wouldn't have any problems with it . I understand that playing piano to software is not easy though .

Would be good for so kind of dramatic scene

its still repetitive to be honest

i liked 0-0:30 analog lead . Then you used what should be background as lead.

i wish the song was build more around clear analog . Also if you make song 4 minute long it needs more variety in melody .

EctiBot responds:

Thx for the review :D.
I know that it's still pretty. Repeative. Still have some problems with making varied songs, but I hope that I will be able to make more varied songs, but I hope that with the help of honest reviews like this I'll be able to improve the structure of my songs and implement more of my own style in my tracks.

As for the stuff about the analog lead and backround lead, The reason why I used that lead was because I wanted to give the song a feeling of light and energy so I used very bright leads.

Again thanx for the review. Really helps alot :).

i think the instruments you used are too high quality for chipstep .

1:06 where you start rubber effects i would also add another verse to analog so it has a bit more variety

its not really ambient music . More like cinematic piano lead

It has some nice suspense so i think it would go nicely with build up for a game or animation
