It is a bit simplistic but enjoyable

You have a good sense of progression .

Do you have some piano skills?

WarmanSteve responds:

Thanks! I always like writing out chord progressions, but sometimes I have trouble filling them in with stuff. I'm a terrible pianist, but I've got a decent piano VST :P

As long as your heart is in the right place . Still better than any pop song from this decade

Music is pretty sweet by the way

rainheart666787 responds:

Cheers dude! im still finding myself musically and i guess we are all still learning. Thanks so much for the review :-)

You have too many runs using a single instrument . So your music sounds a bit too simple so just try adding background and second melody pattern .

Try not to use beat or melody by itself unless song really calls for it .

Also you dropping melody too often so this track really has no progression . I shouden't feel like i am listening to several different tracks .

xturox responds:

thank you i'll keep in mind.

I assume that rain effect is not a controllable midi so it sounds a bit odd since you have same rain effect . I think rain kind of ruins progression in this song because its not chord based .

Sometimes you can create something similar to rain effect by combining 2 static effects . I would try to experiment with that so you can have chords for rain as well .

Also that piano pattern didn't really complement the melody . Note were a bit too sharp maybe .

I dig the atmosphere here but it just needs to be executed a little better .

bdog705 responds:

thank you, the rain was live recorded sooo yea. I still need to learn how to create a rain effect, the piano sounded a bit off to me as well but I really don't notice it that much,
I can always count on you for a helpful review thank you!

Feels very emotional . Is it remix on your own track? I think it has very good start but for me it was a bit boring in the middle . Just kind of lost the suspense . Maybe it would be better if you kept channeling the energy higher

DESHIEL responds:

Not remix, Reconstruction of my own track that I fist uploaded for a contest that was taking place here on newgrounds.

It has a nice euro tech vibe . I did notice a few issues .

That ambient sound really didn't do much for the song . Just because you made very uplifting melody the horror pads felt off

You did a good job at transitioning at first but the progression in melody fell apart .

IvoryKitty responds:

Yeah, this song is full of issues, I'll go back in and work with it some more when I can. I think the structure experiment wasn't a good idea now. On the plus side though, I'm glad it has a good vibe to it! :) Thanks for the review!

Very cute . You would be perfect adventure time songs

I think it would be better if there was melody instead of echos . heck. If you want I can try making music for it

oOzeroOo responds:

Yeah, I kinda struggle with making melodies hehe. I love the songs in Adventure Time so that's a really huge compliment for me >///<

Thanks for the review!

This does not sound like SNES music to me . Pads are too high quality for SNES . I heartoo much excess noise rather than chiptune quality sound . Try to find better vst that don't make so much racket

I do like the gothic melody though .

ZakoZaku responds:

It's actually based on FF6's soundfont.

at 0:32 you need to eliminate transitions like that

the delay in analog could be from vst quality but try to use more sharp sounds

ROUGE responds:

It was meant to be like that, and after reading this review i agree with you

I am sure that chiptune noise was intentional but this is just painful to listen .

Joshi-o responds:

each with their taste. :3=

cada uno con sus gustos. :3
