i got really bored first 1:30 minutes . If you make a long build up you need more variations .

at 40 to 1:30 i would add some smooth pads maybe

I like analog melody but all effects seem a bit silent .

Progression is very off . Its like you have 4 middles in the song .

Its perfect as cinematic soundtrack . I agree it fits title very well

good job

as ambient music it works but its the same thing for 2 minutes .

More simplistic variations would be better .

DFerociousbeast responds:

yeah it is repetitive, but I really like it being that way, it helps for easy listening and you can zone out very easily. I don't intend to work on this anymore than I have but I will take this into account in the future so thanks for the comment :)

Lots of white noise but it does work with the song .

Its like being attacked by a boss in a video game .

I wish there was a melodic breakdown in the middle .

Anchorwind responds:

Thanks for taking the time to review. I'll take the "but it does work" with a smile.

Try using the piano chords

For example for a 4 step melody use 1,1,2,3 pattern . Like if you were using pads you could use 2 long same notes ,then use one lower note and then use one higher note .

You have 4 step melody but its the same 4 patterns if that makes sense . You could change hight of last 2 notes to make it sound more dynamic .

727411 responds:

That makes sense, and now that you mention it, is definitely something my music is lacking... Thanks for the feedback!

You ever herd Love lost long ago by Mr.Garrison?

probably no connection .

Anyway . It does sound like a rainy atmosphere . Good job

EqualEyes responds:

I have heard it! LOL. I just finished Stick Of Truth. I so sad it's over I hope they release DLC, ASAP! Thanks for the review man.

the music is nice and the lyrics are pretty deep

Some of your singing sounds better at certain parts than other . It feels like you cutting notes too soon . Even if you don't have big range you can still do better because i can hear you pulling it off and than you cutting notes again

Go over the song worth someone who can be honest and patch it up and keep that in mind in the future

ZaronX responds:

The lyrics are by Aviators; I just did the remix itself. His vocals were provided as-is from the original track as opposed to seperated any sort of way, so any deviation from that required some manner of cutting. You might want to check him out; he's come a fair ways in the vocal department recently, and the source on this is nearly a year old now. https://www.youtube.com/user/SoundOfTheAviators

Don't count on drums alone to carry the song . You need to have 3-4 lead melodies . I can only hear one

At the start you should have just had single analog . I find that random noisy effects rarely complement the song .

Start with single analog or analog and drums
after 20-60 seconds add second analog, synth and drums if you want
in the middle replace lead analog with another one

No matter what style of music you make you need progression and smoth transitions which this track lacks .

bdog705 responds:

I know to carry melodies out but I kinda wanted drums to be just that, thanks for the tips though

I am gentleman . I still like butts though .

This will get us some butts right?

BUKLAU responds:

ya dawg bust this out at your next party and the females will be going crazy!!

sounds a lot like my personal music X) is progressive trance you favorite genre?

build up was maybe 20 seconds too long in my humble opinion .

Also i think the track lacks character . At 1:32 that breakdown probably could use another verse .

I tend to make similar mistake so thats something we both could improve on .

deadbea7 responds:

i normally don't do trance progressive, i usually stick to a more house style. i was pretty concerned about the build, because it did seem too long, but then when i shortened it, it just seemed to make things happen faster than i would like. i've still got a lot left to learn lol.
